This poolhouse gives an intuitive impression, as if the space naturally came into being. Nevertheless, achieving this ambiance required a very calculated design approach. Along those lines, I developed the prominently positioned fire place. Its proportions were not random, but meticulously considered. It actually feels like a sort of ‘fire table’ that sits in the room. Like a sort of sacred element, an altar that belongs to the space.’
